On May 23, 2019, Ms.GuyInChair and I attended the Los Angeles premiere of “Avengers:Endgame”. I brought a Marvel Legends Infinity Gauntlet for autographs and ended up getting 60 autographs on it. Here’s the full story…

The invitation from Disney.

The Invitation: On April 2nd, 2019, I received an emailed invitation from Disney to attend the Avengers Endgame premiere. I read it and immediately thought I was going to throw up.
Disney made no mention of the website in the invitation. I don’t think they cared about it, either way.

Ms. Tanya (on the left) and the Avengers Tuxedo.

Snappy Dresser: When we first thought we might be going to LA in Dec, 2018, I joked to Ms. GuyInChair that I would get a tuxedo made of the Avengers Infinity Gauntlet material that Ms.GuyInChair was using to make holiday stockings for her Etsy store. We ended up getting the invitation to attend with only three weeks notice. My tailor, Ms. Tanya, had to work double-time to get the tuxedo assembled and ready for wear.

So Effing Fancy…
Can you spot Mr. & Mrs. GuyInChair behind Paul Rudd?

Ms. GuyInChair made her own dress out of the same fabric, but opted to go for a black satin top and red wings on the back (to honor Captain Marvel, who wasn’t in the fabric.

My sunglasses were Tony Stark replicas. My cufflinks had the Infinity Gauntlet on them. Ms. GuyInChair had a necklace with Thor’s hammer on it. We looked super spiffy!

Finally, my Twitter followers unanimously voted in a poll that I should wear a fez on the purple carpet. So, I did.

Location, Location, Location. Upon arrival at the LA convention center, we were broken up into groups of 10 to be ushered into the VIP section. I was #11 and Ms.GuyInChair was #12. There was plenty of room when we arrived, but we knew it was going to fill up quickly. 80 guests and cosplayers were expected.
I chose to put us at the corner of the VIP section, right by the stairs. That way, we could catch any celeb that walked up the stairs. We called it “The ChokePoint”.
That turned out to be ridiculously lucky because it put us in the background for all of the press pics of the event. (See the pic of Paul Rudd on the right. Can you find us?)

Here’s a complete list of every autograph on the Endgame Gauntlet.
