I genuinely like Ryan Reynolds.
Which is funny because we’ve never met. He might be a huge A-Hole, but I’d never know it.
He definitely plays a minor A-hole online, but that’s a feature, not a bug.
It’s part of why I like him.
Last week, Ryan Reynolds, aka#GinDaddy, released a funny tweet, highlighting a fake AMAZON review for #AviationGin that he wrote using his preferred alias, “Champ Nightengale”. In the post, Nightengale detailed the incredible downward spiral that AG took him on. It was a favorable review by Nightengale. He liked the gin. (You should read the review, yourself, on any of the links, below. It’s a Hoot.)
#GinDaddy tweeted it out to us and directly referencing that he wrote it, himself. Which adds another level of the funny to it, I think.
Aviation Gin tweeted that should be optioned to be a movie.
I tweeted that Hugh Jackman should play Nightengale. And that Reynolds real-life wife, the lovely Blake Lively, play Nightengale’s wife. That would be “hot, hot, hot”, implying a love scene between the two. (AWK-WARD!) I wrote that post on the weekend, sitting on my back porch, while my dogs played in the yard. Low Effort / High Return! (100 likes in three days! This thing is on Fye-Uh!)

This is the third time that Reynolds pulled a prank and I have a very, very small, tangential role in it and each time it’s freshly funny and exciting and ridiculous and wonderful. I expect, each time, that it’s my last dance on the dance floor and when something new takes shape it’s always a fresh, fun surprise.
